Volunteers and stewarding
Taunton Flower Show could not run without its many volunteers
Our volunteer stewards are drawn from all walks of life and the person selling you your ticket at the main gate could be a school teacher, a professional gardener or a retired bank manager. It takes all types! There are a whole range of different jobs that we need doing including:- Selling tickets and programmes at the main gate
- Stewarding around the main marquees helping our visitors
- Helping to marshal the main arena events - making sure they all start on time!
- Selling raffle tickets
- Stewarding in the car parks
- Assisting our judges, making up prize cards etc And many other jobs that are too numerous to mention!
To become involved in stewarding, in the first instance, please contact our head steward, Mr Mike Welch (see panel to the right) who can give you more information about the various jobs.
