Its all Childs Play!
Our special zone dedicated to our younger visitors!
Taunton Flower Show aims to appeal to the whole family and, in addition to various exciting arena events; children have their own ‘Childs Play’ area where a variety of activities and entertainment are provided. Regular features include pottery and other craft skills, face painting, a magician and Punch & Judy; this attracting as many adults as children. Many of the activities, principally a fancy dress competition and a treasure hunt, centre on a theme. In 2011 the theme was Ancient Egypt with a pyramid, ‘camels’ and an Egyptian dancer. For 2012 the theme is Robin Hood & His Merry Men
Bowlore, a medieval archery display group will provide a variety of activities from longbow, crossbow, sword and quarterstaff combat demonstrations and sword training classes. There will be hands-on weapon and armour displays within a medieval encampment and have-a-go archery with life size 3D targets. Robin Hood’s forest encampment should attract some interesting costumes, so look out those green tights and put a feather in your cap. Events are expected to include:- Punch and Judy
